$500 Sign-on Bonus
Starting pay $20/hour
SUMMARY
Prepares, records, organizes and maintains the accounts payable records for the company. Areas include reconciliations, general ledger, disbursements, special reporting and special projects as directed.
This position can be a hybrid work schedule. 20% in office and 80% work from home.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Compiles and sorts documents, such as vendor invoices.
Computes and records freight charges, rentals and similar items.
Issues checks to vendors and resolves account discrepancies.
Maintains accuracy of vendor records, unvouchered receipts reports, and month end reporting.
Works directly with our India support team to manage our AP email inbox.
Reviews AP batches completed by India, researches and resolves discrepancies.
Enters non-PO related payable invoices.
Completes an accounts payable check run each week.
Files and organizes A/P records digitally.
Documents processes and procedures for the accounting team.
Manages and drives their own process improvement projects under the supervision of the staff accountant and/or divisional controller.
There is a weekly onsite requirement to this job, currently that is 1 day per week. That may change in the future, but this role will always be partially remote, partially onsite. It is currently remote 80-100% of the time. However, the employee is welcome to be onsite as often as they like.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Strong background with Microsoft programs. (Mainly Excel and Word)
Experience with general accounting duties (areas of accounts payable, other assets and liabilities).
Must possess strong communication, interactive and time management skills.
Must possess strong attention to detail.
Experience in ERPs, especially EPICOR, is a plus but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
