Must have Labor Relations and negotiation skills experience.
Job description for Director of Human Resources :
HR Director is directly responsible for the daily operations of the department and oversees the routine functions of the office. Assists in planning, development, administration and evaluation of department activities. Responsibilities include matters of employment, recruitment, compensation, benefits, labor relations, employee recognition events, workers compensation, personnel administration and budget.
Education/Licensing: College degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred. Degree may be substituted with a minimum of two years of business college and 4 years hospital Human Resources experience.
Qualifications/Skills for Director of Human Resources : Prior experience in a Human Resources department, including Labor Relations, required. Must have the ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames. Must possess skills to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of system personnel including physicians, attorneys, insurance carrier staff and other regulatory agency staff. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, able to organize work/project demands, prioritize, problem-solve and function independently. Requires the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, and a strict adherence to confidentiality.
