General Job Description
As the Dell Synergy Enablement Lead, you’ll empower Sales and Technical Sales communities at Dell Technologies, VMware’s largest and most strategic partner. You’ll work with leadership and management aligned to Dell Sales divisions to enable continued VMware bookings growth through and with Dell, with a focus on a shared portfolio of joint solutions. You’ll work closely with the Dell and VMware teams to prioritize the development of sound Enablement strategies that appropriately address VMware’s product portfolio and messaging. You will ensure Enablement programs are cross-functionally developed and delivered into the Dell throughout the AMER region with prioritization on regions with opportunity for growth.
Excellent teamwork is nonnegotiable for this role, with a meticulous view towards driving programs and outcomes defined jointly with Dell.
As part of the Dell Synergy Acceleration Enablement Team you will:
Lead the America’s Enablement business: be a trusted advisor to VMW DSAT and Dell Commercial & Enterprise Sales Leadership and stakeholders to identify and prioritize enablement requirements aligned with synergy sales/business priorities
Develop strategies, frameworks and enablement plans focused on audience need, cross-functional consistency, and scalability
Continually measure the effectiveness of training, content, and delivery, while designing and executing plans for improvement
Support VMware Enablement & DSAT quarterly planning process to prioritize, plan and budget enablement events and ensure alignment with DT Global Sales Learning & Enablement. Establish outcome-based scorecards, illustrating metrics to show impact and value to the business.
Lead and facilitate virtual teams as necessary to deliver training and enablement programs. Assist with onboarding and mentoring team members.
Ideal candidate locations are Boston, MA; Austin, TX; and Nashville, TN but the role is full time remote and candidates in any US location will be considered. Post-Pandemic, DSAT team members will need the ability to travel (approx. 10-20%) and do business globally, with a focus on AMER region and US time zones.
Success factors:
Within the first 60 days, develop a firm understanding of Enablement plans and gaps in the AMER region through assessing current program offerings, gaining an understanding of joint solutions and other strategic priorities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and employing
Within the first 90 days, leverage that understanding to recommend and develop and deliver ongoing Enablement plans aligned to VMware and Dell joint priorities and innovative enablement strategies. Build an outcome-based scorecard to measure development, deployment, and management for deployed programs.
Within 180 days, acquire sufficient understanding of the strategy, the geo and the Enablement plans to serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and recommend enablement-based solutions to business challenges.

Leadership:
This role reports to the Global Synergy Team Lead under the Global Solutions, Cloud and Alliances Director and resides in VMware’s WWRACE Partner Enablement organization. The AMER Dell Synergy Enablement lead dotted line reports into the Dell Synergy Acceleration Global Headquarters team.
The core DSAT Enablement team is comprised of three GEO Enablement leads and one Channel Enablement lead. The larger DSAT Sales Acceleration team includes Enablement, Sales Activation and Go-to-Market. We are a highly collaborative, matrixed team that works together to build programs with the best possible outcomes for the VMware business through the Dell route to market.
The person in this role also benefits from membership in the WWRACE organization, and can connect with and work with Sales enablement professionals across VMware’s business.
