JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Business Manager works directly under the supervision of the President. Ensuring the efficiency of business operations and setting strategic goals for the future. This position manages the company’s equipment/vehicle fleet as well as contract administration and marketing functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity and cost efficiency.
Supervise the work of employees, consultants and subcontractors (if any) and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain relationships with partners, vendors and suppliers.
Assess performance against objectives and provide feedback.
Represent the company in events, conferences, etc.
Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines.
Research to find the best vehicle or piece of equipment for the job and negotiate / compare prices to find the best possible product at the best price.
Ensure that each vehicle or piece of equipment receives the necessary maintenance to prevent issues or major repairs.
Track and bill fleet for job costing.
Work with Operations to review plans, specifications and contracts to ensure the correct subcontractor services are ordered and/or procured.
Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award subcontracts or recommend contract awards.
Manage paperwork related to contracts and subcontracts.
Determine which contract method is used for procurement.
Manage the company’s marketing materials and methods.
Manage and maintain the company’s forms, procedures and manuals to ensure 100% consistency in format and use.

POSTION REQUIREMENTS:

Must be tech savvy
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proficient in MS Office
At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Bachelors’s degree or suitable work experience
