Description :

As the
Assistant-Monroe Payment Center, you are responsible for the processing of lockbox customer payment exceptions, accurate processing of all non-lockbox payments across all TDS Telecom business segments (e.g., Wireline, Cable and HMS). In this position, you must also maintain a working knowledge of multiple billing systems (e.g., SABRE, CABS, CSG and other HMS in-house billing systems). This position supports COAST, TDS Treasury and Mellon Bank Lockbox.

Provide 2nd Level support to COAST by performing customer-initiated payment investigations.
Initiate necessary banking transactions required to assure TDS Bank Accounts are reconcilable including bank and customer-initiated debit and credit adjustment transactions.
Transfer funds from one TDS Telecom bank account to another based on results of payment investigation. (EFT payments)
Make bank account adjustments resulting from out-of- balance conditions identified by Mellon Bank or Bank of America
Process customer-initiated credit card adjustments including initiating the adjustment transaction into the Bank Card system and posting the adjustment to the customer account.
Perform other tasks in support of customer transaction processing such as NSF processing and applying payments received from Collections Agencies.
Assist TDS Treasury in reconciling Mellon Bank deposits with SABRE payments processed.
Perform Daily reconciliation between SABRE and Mellon Bank deposits and monitor activity of Mellon deposits into “suspense accounts”.
Receive and process customer-initiated comments and notes through use of DESI work queues
Perform all necessary SOX controls.
Record information necessary to measure Mellon Bank level of service and quality performance.
Perform a daily remote deposit and reconciliation into Bank of America for all non-lockbox TDS Telecom and HMS payments with specific processes for Directory Invoicing, Aid To Construction, Restitution, Procurement Salvage Settlement and Legal payments.
Coach less experienced associates, monitor Control Group Mailbox and perform special studies and projects as required by supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience.

Other Qualifications

Able to learn key applications for daily business: Billing Systems, Banking Systems.
Proficient with computer and various software packages utilized within TDS (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
Professional, customer-service oriented attitude.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills – works well with others.
Must possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
Must possess strong time management skill.
