SUMMARY

Maintain and support Greenbrier Maintenance and Wheel Operations per the primary responsibilities outlined below, in accordance with company guidelines, goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Research, compile, and analyze data to ensure material is secured at the most competitive total cost.
Maintain and report on division KPI
Work with estimating department in preparing bids
Update and maintain standard costing in accordance with division requirements.
Manage material lead-times in accordance with market conditions.
Analyze and review logistic costs in relation to benchmark levels.
Work collaboratively with production, accounting, and other business units to ensure production requirements are satisfied.
Effectively manage inventory levels in accordance with company goals and expectations.
Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with established procedures. Revise and update purchase orders as required.

Experience & Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
2 years of rail component related experience is mandatory
Proficiency with Microsoft applications
Experience with DAX ERP system
Strong communication, analytical and time management skills
Ability to estimate material costs
High level of accuracy and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Self-motivated; ability to work well in a team environment
Demonstrate integrity and ability to effectively manage vendor relationships
Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality
