Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

This position is responsible for developing and coordinating public relations and communication activities at the Pullman level for Enrollment in partnership with entities across the university. This includes research, writing and editing digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) communications, email, text, web pages, print, and other material or projects to promote and/or inform target audiences about Enrollment at WSU and to support Enrollment’s Pullman public relations and communication goals.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant field AND either two (2) years of professional experience in print OR broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel programs.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience with communication to specific populations.
Strong writing skills.
Knowledge of and experience with CRM technology
Ability to work independently and/or in a remote setting.
Ability to have or obtain at the time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel and to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in relevant field.
Experience working in a higher education setting.
Knowledge of admissions and recruitment practices, student, parent and counselor communication tactics and preferences.
Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
Conceptual understanding of relational databases.
Proficiency with HTML coding and developing and executing conditional logic.
Experience using Technolutions Slate or other CRM database.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
