Overview:
Hybrid-
Remote Position (OR/WA Only)
This is a hybrid-remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work 2-3 days a week at an assigned Legacy Health location, and other days may work remotely at home, on the road or in a satellite location for the remainder of their workweek.
All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.
Note that our employee health plan coverage is for providers based in the Legacy Health geographic region. To find providers in our network click here. Urgent and emergent coverage is available outside the geographic region and telehealth is available within Oregon and Washington.
This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.

The Events and Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for the financial and logistical organization and implementation of assigned fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events. The Coordinator also acts as a Legacy ambassador for various third party fundraising activities. These activities impact specific Legacy Health foundations and support annual giving. Responsibility includes the recruitment and coordination of volunteers, corporate and individual sponsorship procurement and overall event logistics planning. Functions in a cooperative and teamwork-based environment while interfacing closely with Foundations’ Gift Officers, Executive Directors, and the other Philanthropy staff.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, liberal arts or related field, or equivalent experience, plus evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars and professional affiliations.
Experience:
Minimum of three years progressively more responsible experience in fund raising event planning, volunteer management, marketing, and/or marketing communications, preferably in health care, academic medicine or higher education. Experience with soliciting corporate sponsorships desirable.
Skills:
Competence in development and organization of fundraising events including design of marketing materials, sponsorship proposals and presentations, public speaking, day of event logistics and follow up.
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, industry-based donor management systems, and presentation and publication software (such as PowerPoint and PageMaker), as needed for specific position.
Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to work well with and organize volunteers of all levels, from board members and corporate executives to high school students.
Creative and analytical skills.
Ability to handle multiple demands and respond well to changing priorities.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with Philanthropy team members, community event volunteers and corporate leadership.
Ability to work with Philanthropy team members and Marketing and Public Relations staff to develop, implement and coordinate integrated marketing communications programs for fundraising events and activities.
Ability to cross train and provide necessary events/activity support on other campuses as required.
