The Traveler and Partner Service Platform (TPSP) team are redefining traveler, partner and agent engagement. Our mission is to deliver service that is a differentiator in the marketplace. Our technology supports travelers and partners on their end-to-end customer journey by leveraging Expedia Group’s rich travel data to provide seamless operations and service experiences. We are passionate about improving the customer experience through self-serve capabilities and effortless interactions with agents, and a core part of what we deliver is a toolset to enable both automated and assisted interactions.
We are looking for a Director, Strategy and Transformation to join and help craft and communicate the strategy which will directly impact customers across EG’s travel brands and Partners. This role is inherently cross-functional – you will collaborate across multiple teams to envision and deliver solutions, reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy, Analytics and Business Enablement.
What you’ll do/roles & responsibilities:
Partner with senior leadership to define and drive the long-term strategy and establish a multiyear plan of strategic investment priorities
Build foundations for a plan by assessing industry trends, strategic opportunities while incorporating broader EG Corporate, Brand and Supply strategies
Lead the development of high impact strategic initiatives, tackling complex problems and crafting solutions that drive scale for the business
Help to define, supervise and share progress of the shared goals (OKRs)
Collaborate and provide thought leadership with TPSP and the broader finance, business operations, technology and HR team to translate the strategic plan into an execution-focused annual plan
Represent TPSP in cross business workstreams and discussions
Evangelize the strategy and support the execution of strategic and annual plans through effective collaboration across teams and divisions
Collaborate across the broader organization to prepare financial reviews
Who you are:
Undergraduate degree, advanced degree preferred or equivalent related professional experience
Strategy management consulting background highly desirable
Experience working in a platform technology or travel service company preferred
Sophisticated problem-solving skills. Able to tackle unstructured problems and build strategic frameworks and financial models
Respond effectively to complex and ambiguous problems and situations
Comfortably navigate during times of change and transformation; within the business, industry and broader stage
Lead mostly with questions rather than opinions, thriving on the opportunity to own, innovate, create, and constantly re-evaluate
Comfortable making recommendations across competing and equally critical business needs
Simplify, in order to clearly and succinctly convey sophisticated information and ideas to individuals at all levels of the organization
An analytical approach and comfortable with using data day-to-day
Exceptional program management skills. Able to lead multiple work streams simultaneously and to perform under pressure
