Our popular, chic grooming salon in south city has an opening for a dog grooming position! We are looking for a devoted dog lover with 5+ years of experience in grooming to join our team.
About Us
We are a local, family owned salon that has been in business for 13 years. We provide grooming, daycare, and boarding services. Our team of groomers, bathers, and receptionists are dedicated to providing quality services to the animals in our care.
Job summary
As a dog groomer, you will be working in our tastefully renovated groom room to show off your stellar pet-styling skills.
A dog on your schedule will enter our reception room where you will go over the haircut desired with their owner. You will then do any pre-bath prepping you deem necessary. From there, the furry client will be turned over to our team of bathers for a bath, blow dry, and brush out. After that, the pup will be handed back to you for an exquisite haircut and finishing touches! Once the dog is done let our receptionists know, and they will contact the pet owner for you.
Requirements
-Knowledge and ability to execute various breed cuts.
-Excellent scissoring and brushing skills.
-Capable of having at least 7 dogs on your schedule per day.
-2+ years of experience in an established salon.
-Standing for extended periods of time.
-Ability to lift heavy dogs with assistance.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
-Cat grooming is not necessary, but is a plus.

Pay
Pay is 46% Commission to start + Tips.

Pay: $30,000.00 – $59,542.00 per year
