EMPLOYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Harrisburg is located in the Mid-Willamette Valley between Eugene and Corvallis.
POSTING DATE: August 17, 2022
POSITION:Executive Administrative Assistant-Office of the Superintendent and School Board- Probationary
1 FTE, 260 contract days, 8 hours per day; Monday – Friday
SALARY RANGE: $19.16-$25.77 per Hour
$39,853 – $53,602 Annually
Placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with education and experience, and will follow District policy GCBA.
BENEFITS: Employer paid insurance CAP to assist with health, dental and vision premiums, employer paid Basic Life and AD&D policies. Two (2) days of personal leave, ten (10) days sick leave, seven (11) paid holidays, and a generous PERS retirement contribution.

Business/Secretarial Degree or four years’ executive secretary experience
Typing 70 WPM or better and extensive computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of operation of business machines
Self-motivation: able to work on own without direct supervision
Maintain professional and courteous manor in dealing with parents, students and co-workers.
Ability to follow directions

JOB SUMMARY:
COMMUNICATIONS:
Acts as a liaison between public and the Superintendent
Receptionist of the District Office
Composes correspondence independently on daily matters not involving deviation from district policies.
Point of contact for the Board of Directors and Superintendent in scheduling meetings and travel.
BOARD/SUPERINTENDET:
Responsible for assuring that public meeting laws are met (i.e. publications)
Prepares and distributes board packets
Attends monthly evening meetings as required
Maintains files, including files of confidential material
Maintains agendas and prepares minutes of meetings
Checks reports, records, and other data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to established standards.
Serves as information liaison between Superintendent, Administrators, Teachers, Confidential/Supervisory, Classified Personnel and the general public.
Coordinates/oversees reports to the Department of Education (fall reporting, attendance, certificated personnel, etc.) Coordinate collection of data and reports biennially to the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC).
Updates and maintains Board Policies and Procedures.
Maintains database of Student Inter-District Agreements and assures proper forms are complete while working with administrators and personnel from other districts.
Schedules discipline hearings, maintains documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
PERSONNEL:
Prepares and maintains personnel files including employee contracts and certifications.
Maintain personnel database
Prepares job postings, advertises the positions, compiles applications, may arrange interviews, and sends notifications to candidates.
Issues employment contracts for all employees.
Tracks licensed employee teaching certification and renewal dates.
Communicates with Teachers Standards & Practices Commission (TSPC) as needed.
Tracks employee certification for CPR, First Aid and other Safe Schools online staff training.
Works closely with the Business Office/Payroll when setting up employee work calendars in Infinite Visions.
Provide new employees the new hire welcoming packet.
