Description :
Multi-Specialty ophthalmology practice in Eatontown, NJ is seeking a reliable Facilities Manager to undertake, upkeep and repair tasks at the interior and exterior of 4 locations throughout Monmouth County. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. You must be professional, well-organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job.

Duties:

Perform maintenance and light repairs.
Paint and repair damage to dry wall, seals, metal doors, and other commercial fixtures.
Undertake light installation or carpentering (i.e., build cabinets).
Repair equipment or appliances.
Repairing any broken, loose, or missing hardware in event spaces or office.
Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g., shoveling snow).
Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs.
Monitor all associated outside maintenance vendors (HVAC, landscaping, plumbing, etc.) to ensure they are inspecting and maintaining appropriately at their scheduled times.
Track all associated outside vendor maintenance contracts to ensure all proper items are covered and contracts are unexpired.
Managing inventory and notifying managers of needed hardware, paints, light bulbs, etc.
Working carefully to ensure the safety of the employee and others when working with hazardous materials, chemicals, or electricals.
Communicating with other departments regarding any needs, issues, or informing them of in-progress projects that could create a hazardous environment.

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of hardware, equipment, and materials such as drywall, tile, fasteners, plumbing, electrical, etc.
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems.
Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
Proper care and respect of equipment including power tools, dollies, vacuums, etc.
Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.
Attention to detail.
Good communication ability.
High school diploma or equivalent.
