The Global Technology Finance team provides executive financial oversight for the Global Technology organization’s 55,000+ resources and $12B+ cost base. We are responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.

Job Description

A highly motivated, self-starter is required to support key strategic programs and deliverables within the Finance group under the Global Technology P&A team. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, project management, planning and inter-personal skills including strong oral and written communication and business management knowledge. This role requires strong analytical, presentation and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze data and present conclusions concisely. The candidate will work directly with business and financial leads within the Global Technology organization in order to execute on strategic plans, agendas, projects, action items and key deliverables. The candidate will assist in the build-out of reporting metrics to efficiently deliver the results to senior management. The role demands strong analytical skills, creative presentation skills, technical abilities, flexibility to manage multiple work-related deliverables and an ability to recommend and influence change.

The candidate will be responsible for one of our key financial measures such as revenues, expenses, headcount, or profitability modelling, where you will be expected to deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis and assist with strategic direction and decision making. You will be expected to provide leadership across the FP&A teams, and interact regularly with the FP&A Managers, the line of business CFOs and peers across Finance & Business Management and the business.

Responsibilities will include the oversight of monthly expense management, analysis of all centrally produced financial management reporting (actual and plan) for Global Technology, assisting in annual budgeting and strategic planning, designing, establishing, and maintaining an efficient and effective MIS infrastructure to support delivery of management information, and oversight and assistance in ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities

Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and business reviews that provide clear, impactful explanations of operating results and variances based on relevant business drivers, and help ensure expense goals are achieved
Oversight of the process to deliver month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years.
Partner with the various Tech F&BM leads to provide analytics and insight to technology expenses, risks & opportunities, run rate analysis and efficiency programs
Produce executive presentations, analysis and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed
Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and present commentary to senior management and line of business CFOs explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets
Become a key point of contact for Global Technology outlooks/forecasts and annual plan processes
Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
Own continuous review of processes with the goal of providing timely and accurate results

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a subject of a technical nature
5+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or relevant FP&A experience
Strong technical, analytical and modeling skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Essbase
Outstanding analytical and presentation skills (verbal and written), with ability to articulate complex issues clearly
Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations
Proven ability to act independently with excellent decision-making skills
Detail oriented individual with the ability to work well under pressure, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
Interface with all levels in the organization from senior management to process participants
Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically
Team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior management
Ability to complete work within timely deadlines, with a sense of urgency
