Description :
$18.89 hr – $28.23 hr DOE
Job Summary: Responsible for clerical and reception functions and facilitating communication on assigned units.
Job Duties:
Provides customer service to patients, families and the cross-functional team.
Facilitates communications – scheduling, coverage of telephones and nurse call systems.
Maintains patient records, CPOE and unit census records on a daily basis.
Coordinates admissions, transfers and discharges to the Charge Nurse and appropriate departments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED for the position:
High School graduation or equivalent
Must possess oral and written skills to efficiently communicate and process information regarding patients.
DESIRED for the position:
1 year of related experience in a similar setting
Completion of a medical terminology course and/or a Health Unit Coordinator course.
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare 1199NW.
