*POSITION SUMMARY*
Responsible for conducting overnight patrols of the grounds and buildings at the Employee Housing Campus for the purpose of providing visibility, maintaining security, and deterring criminal activities. Housing Security will work with Housing Attendants, the Housing Manager, and Risk and Public Safety Manager to maintain a safe residential environment for Crystal Mountain employees. Required to have the ability to safely operate a vehicle, stand on their feet for long periods of time and work outside in the elements. This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, a good work ethic, and punctuality. This position does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES*
Patrol grounds and facilities and keep records of patrols
Detect, deter, and report crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
Monitor and respond to alarms and reports of crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports of incidents and safety issues
Interact professionally with employees residing on campus
Communicate via radio, telephone and orally.
Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.
Will arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform and carrying needed issued equipment.
Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned.
Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned.
Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
Assist Housing Manager with other duties as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 25
Valid Driver’s License
*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS*
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of previous security / law enforcement/ military experience
Guard Card (preferred)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
*WORKING CONDITIONS*
Typical work schedule: Nights, 6:00PM to 2:00AM
Indoor / Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
Hazardous Materials / Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
Equipment Used in Job: The position may require the use of driving company vehicles
