Overlake Medical Center’s Parent & Baby Care Center is seeking a full-time Lactation Education Specialist.
.9 FTE (72 hours per bi weekly pay period)
8 hour shifts
Days
Responsibilities may include:
Set-up and functioning of the Breast Pump Rental Station
Patient education
Coordination of the Newborn Hearing Screen Program in the NICU inpatient and Mom & Baby Care Center outpatient setting
Charging for equipment
Retail selling of breast pumping accessories, nursing bras and other retail items
Record management

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration: Healthcare provider CPR required upon hire. Lactation Educator certification preferred. If not certified, must become certified within six months of hire date.
Experience: Two years prior experience in a health care setting preferred. Prefer experience working with new mothers and as a medical assistant, patient care technician, or childbirth educator.
