Description :
Griffith Rubber Mills, a leader in manufacturing for over 100 years, has immediate full-time openings for Production Operators in our Portland, OR rubber extrusion plant. The wage starts at $16.50 and is further determined by position and shift along with bonus opportunities.MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Extrusion Operator – uses an extrusion machine to force rubber material through a shaped die under high pressure.
Splicing Operator– performs the process of bonding to join ends of rubber profiles using a machine.
Inspection Operator– responsible for inspecting finished parts.
Cutting and General Labor– uses a machine to cut down rubber material to customer specification and other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Willing to learn
Able to follow directions both written and verbal
Ability to lift 50 lbs. throughout shift
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Perform daily tasks as assigned
Follow procedures within a certified Quality System
Have good attendance
Work well with others being a good team member
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Highly motivated
Upbeat, professional attitude
Dependable team player who demonstrates flexibility to respond to urgent needs
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass pre-employment screening
