The successful candidate will play a key role in a growing team of professionals who assist clients with services related to the entire grants management lifecycle. Our client organizations are commonly State and Local governments, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, and healthcare entities that are recipients of federal funding. The nature and extent of the services provided to our Grants Management clients will vary, as will the individual career development and work opportunities for the successful candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy working with teams and helping institutions effectively manage various grant programs. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, sensitivity to deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. The successful candidate will be an independent worker with excellent organizational skills that can achieve quality results through others and keep management apprised of the client’s status.

How you will contribute:

Support related to various funding opportunities and grant compliance

Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies

Utilize technology and best practices to improve internal processes

Perform original work and reviews of others’ work to comply with FORVIS standards

Prepare project plans; effectively communicates with the team; identify expectations

Perform work in adherence to internal processes; Seek to understand the big picture

Supervise and train staff on scope, deliverables, and processes to complete the project

Collaborate with multiple project teams to provide technical assistance and insights

Perform reconciliations of various industries General Ledgers

Assist in reviewing and developing policies per grant application requirements

Continue learning and development related to various grant funding and regulations

Perform assessments related to grant management compliance and internal controls

Work on a variety of compliance projects related to a variety of grant funding sources

Utilize technology and best practices to improve internal processes

Other duties as assigned

While this position is primarily remote, there may be travel required to the client site or to one of our offices in all 50 states, the United Kingdom, and the Cayman Islands.

We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:

Ability to communicate and exercise judgment in determining client interactions

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client projects, including agreed-upon deadlines

Ability to professionally write and communicate deliverables to the client

Advanced computer skills and the ability to learn new software related

Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills

Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Self-motivated and dedicated to providing quality work in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications:

College Degree in Accounting or related field, Certified Public Accountant

4 years or more of experience in government, nonprofit, or professional services sector

Additional years of experience with grants

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of Federal Uniform Guidance for non-federal entities, 2 CFR 200

Previous experience surrounding Single Audits
