We are currently seeking an Managing Director for KPMG’s Board Leadership Center to serve as a resource for KPMG partners and professionals seeking information and guidance to support their clients on board governance issues.
Responsibilities:
Assess and advise boards and committee members to deliver greater value in the areas of governance and audit, strategy, risk, crisis management, innovation, compensation and succession
Develop and execute strategic governance services related to sustainability/ESG governance and digital governance
Collaborate with Board Leadership Center’s strategic partners in the governance community to support and co-sponsor educational programs and thought leadership initiatives
Evaluating the effectiveness, impact and performance of KPMG’s Board Leadership Center (BLC) and Audit Committee Institute (ACI) programs and exploring changes to strategy and execution in the market
Lead the research and content development activities of the KPMG Board Leadership Center including KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute, Private Markets Group, and other board-related activities
Serve as a spokesperson for the Board Leadership Center at high-profile events, including speaking at industry conferences and serving as a subject matter expert to provide expert commentary and research to media
Provide support to clients across a range of areas, including implementing actions to improve corporate governance and peer-based programs for directors and boards
Qualifications:
10 years or more of experience with corporate governance or experience in a business, legal, public sector, or think tank environment, with exposure to broad range of business issues around corporate governance
Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills; experience writing corporate governance or sustainability focused insights for board members or c-suite executives
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of board practices and governance trends, including business and legal/regulatory issues shaping governance practices
Executive presence, clear and concise oral and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred
Able to travel 20%
