ABOUT THE POSITION:
Full Time, 40 Hours per Week, Remote or Hybrid

In this role, you will be a key voice in promoting naming excellence at our agency in a way that supports our values, increases our influence, and helps us add and grow an enviable client base. Your role will be three-fold to lead our clients in naming strategy and creative, to share your knowledge and inspire our team; and bring your perspective and point of view to the Leadership Team where you will be a core member alongside Strategy, Account, Design, Finance, Growth and Talent leads.
You’ll use your knowledge of naming and brand strategy design to inspire new and existing clients who need an agency partner like us. From naming strategy, portfolio naming and naming architecture to creative naming, you will be the leader, with strong support by a team of strategists and creative namers.

Lead clients and internal team to develop and execute naming strategy, portfolio and architecture strategies, creative strategy and naming creative and taglines
Collaborate on brand strategy, positioning, identity, campaign, communications, and messaging projects with a team of Northbound strategists
Glean insights from data, competitive information, and consumer research, and turn those insights into creative strategies and briefs that inspire great creative
Guide creative (along with design and copy team) from inception to deliverables, so that it’s brand relevant, inspired and delivers excellence on all levels to clients
Guide and inspire the team and clients for best practices in methodology while maintaining rigor
Collaborate and contribute to internal teams in keeping with Northbound vision, values, and best practices
Roll up your sleeves on necessary grow-the-business initiatives, including developing methodologies and scopes of work for new business and participating in new business presentations and client conversations

8-12 years working in positions that rely on creative writing skills, specifically naming within a brand strategy or naming agency
8-12 years working within brand or marketing, contributing and honing skills within an agency or business consulting environment; articulate on methodologies
Demonstrated ability to lead a client and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Successful track record in transitioning business problems to well-articulated strategies that lead to compelling creative execution
Educational background consistent with the required skills
o This is a full-time position. Compensation is $180,000-200,000 annually. This position reports to Samantha Temple Neukom, Chief Brand Officer
o No travel is expected for this position except for 1 to 2 company gatherings per year
o If operating remotely, light travel is expected resulting in approximately 1 visit per quarter to our home offices in Seattle or for client meetings as needed
o This position is a hybrid or remote position operating in the U.S.
Office hours are between 8 AM and 5 PM Pacific Time
