The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist to join our OBGYN clinic at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland. Workdays are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with some occasional Saturday hours required (flexed weekday off). Our busy OBGYN North practice is fast-paced with a high volume of patient appointments and calls, so we are searching for someone with a positive “can do” attitude and a strong patient/customer-focused work ethic. This position is primarily responsible for accurately scheduling all patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner, obtaining and completing insurance information, answering phones, scanning documents into our EMR system, updating/obtaining insurance information and medical records, and performing other duties as assigned while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of medical front office experience, prior scheduling and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, excellent attendance, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. If you can learn quickly, problem solve, have excellent communication skills, and can greet patients with a friendly, comforting demeanor while continually contributing to improving our patient experience, we want to hear from you! Level and pay depend on experience: $17.00 – $22.79 per hour.

Requirements:

One year (1) previous medical front office experience is required.
Prior scheduling experience required
Prior experience working with Electronic Medical Records required, specifically Centricity/Athena and EPIC
Team-oriented with the ability to also work independently
Excellent phone skills and customer service skills
Excellent attendance and work ethic
Positive attitude
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff, and providers
