SUMMARY
This position is to provide engineering support for the manufacturing production floor under the guidance of the manufacturing engineers. This is accomplished by review and troubleshoot customer data using internal systematic computer software. Sort and analyze other customer data as submitted as it relates to a job. Interface with internal programmers and customer to resolve issues and organize customer documentation to conform to company processes and standards by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide first line floor support for SMT and THM processes and equipment.
Provide engineering review of SC jobs using Factory Logix
Design and manufacture tooling and fixtures to aid in the manufacturing process.
Collect and present department metrics.
Evaluate current process and provide direction to incorporate improvements.
Analyzes customer provided documentation and conforms FLX documentation to meet the manufacturing need.
Communicate effectively to all internal and limited external customers.
Define and identify SMT and Through Hole component shapes and confer with vendor part sheets to determine product specifications and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Accurately document and retain records.
Use best judgment to make decisions based on the information provided. Usually with limited oversite.
Detail oriented and able to manipulate data for set up to the programmers and audit groups.
Initiate and promote continuous improvement principles of Lean Manufacturing throughout the organization to reduce cost and increase productivity.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
The work performed in this job can only be done on site; therefore attendance is an essential function of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent. One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent SMT Experience; and minimum of two years’ operating in the capacity of electronics manufacturing engineering or process technician preferred but not required for final consideration. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Experience in SMT processes desired. This includes, but not limited to:

Solder stencil design and ordering.
Oven profiling.
Familiar with BGA rework principals.
Package identification.
Knowledgeable with IPC-A-610.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge with pressfit and swage operations.
Experience with conformal coating process a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. And the ability to effectively present information to internal management

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as , Basic arithmetic, exponents, Basic algebraic equations,

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
