Green River College’s student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical, 15% Adult Basic Education, 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Corporate Training Coordinator implements administrative operating functions supporting the corporate training unit of the CE department, including Job Skills Program (JSP) grants, and corporate training cash contracts. The position is primarily responsible for contract and program administration, grant match-related documentation, data entry, and instructor services support. This position interfaces directly with company personnel and, as such, requires a high level of confidentiality as it deals with sensitive employee-related information. This position reports to the Director of Corporate and Continuing Education.

Position Responsibilities

Prepare and generate reports and communications
Data entry of employer provided information
Responsible for assisting in contract training logistics and instructor support
Assist with client registration system for contract training
Order all materials and books for contract courses, as needed
Assist in the development of new grants, programs, initiatives and activities within department on an as-needed basis
Provide customer service and student assistance
Coordinate with other departments on campus related to successful delivery of credit-bearing corporate training programs

Successful Candidate will be able to:

Demonstrate competence to prioritize projects and be self-directed
Learn and use new technology effectively to track and maintain student data
Efficiently perform routine and repetitive data entry functions
Maintain records of multiple tasks and report to Director on progress as assigned
Complete tasks individually and as part of a team
Receive direction and instruction from supervisor and ask clarifying questions for understanding
Use critical thinking skills to solve complex problems

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma, and one year directly related professional experience OR one year of experience in a higher education setting OR one year previous administrative experience
Demonstrated attention to detail
Excellent Customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to serve the needs of a diverse student population
Professional work ethic with an ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in using student management and registration systems
Previous experience working with corporate training programs
