Job Description

It’s an exciting time to be part of IFF’S Fragrance Quality Control team. In this position, you will be supporting the fragrance operation team which provides fragrance compounding products for the external market. As Quality Control Technician you will contribute to the team’s success via: Addressing quality related issues brought to by production, sample lab, inventory, planning, our own QC team, sales and creative centers, etc. You will work with production, inventory, supply chain, and our Quality Technicians colleagues and will be responsible for day to day operation and maintenance of all analytical instrumentation.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you must have minimum of 1 years of experience in a Quality Technician role , preferably in a fragrance, Flavors or aroma chemical industry. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Science or a similar degree is preferred. Performing all common ( routine and non-routine) chemical, physical and instrumental analyzes on quality and service analysis for samples coming from supply chain areas, in order to contribute in the resolution of complaints and production problems respectively.
Loading samples to run Gas Chromatography test , Density, Refractive index and CM-5 color, extraction oil for Polyiff samples and GC profile review for Polyiff reports
Analyzing samples for quality control in accordance with regulations and analyzing serving complaints according wishes of the client, perform manual analytical testing for batches with failures in the Ismatec Instrument.
Perform Data entry into various databases, reporting results and tracking (SAP, PLM, & IFFMAN). Ensure timely approval of materials in analytical and GC for all IFF technologies. Interfacing with chemists, evaluators, corporate QC on special testing and reporting results as required.
Other activities as assigned by Analytical QC Supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree (Chemistry, Biology, Science or a similar degree is preferred).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems
Proficient in Microsoft office products, with advanced skills in Excel
Working knowledge of SAP /MRP system.
