Position : SYGMA – ELDT Driver Training Manager

Minimum Years of Experience:
A Supervisor, ELDT Driver Training Role will oversee ELDT Training, CDL Instructors and OJT Trainers at a SYGMA site / region. The role is designed to oversee all delivery partner training activities, including but not limited to, 2 CDL Instructors, OJT Trainers, and the Driver Trainees within that site region. SYGMA’S goal is to deliver consistent and uniform training methods across SYGMA to improve the delivery partner experience, reduce accidents, and increase retention.
Oversee ELDT Training for a SYGMA Site / Region to make sure they are fully staffed and operational
Offer support wherever needed for personnel, equipment, problem solving, and any supplies or decisions needed to function at 100% for Delivery Partner Basic Training and CDL License training
Collaborate closely with Transportation Managers at the site / region for support, development, and important decision making for all driver training
Develop action plan for the site / region that identifies areas of improvement for the program
Support in the development and training of CDL Instructors and OJT Trainers
Certify Transportation CDL Instructors and OJT Trainers. Ensure high quality trainers
Up to 50% travel
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
3+ years Supply Chain Instructor or equivalent delivery route experience
Managing 2+ Individuals
Driver/Employee Training Experience
5+ years hiring and training delivery drivers
CDL training experience a plus.
Supply Chain/warehouse experience
CDL Class A Driver’s License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office, Excel, Email / Calendar tool, etc.
Training Delivery Drivers in a classroom and outdoor setting preferred

Joining in training classes involve lifting, climbing, walking, sitting, standing for 8 to 10 hours a day. Other days sitting long hours in a desk, using computer and phone. Traveling from location to location when needed.

Working in trucking yards, warehouse, and classroom locations often. Wear safety gear around equipment, high noise levels around equipment.
