Hiring for full-time and part-time positions! For the part-time position, the successful candidate may be required to work up to 40 hours per week at peak times of the year, and, when the customer demand lessens, they may have their hours reduced to 20 hours or less per week. Benefits will be prorated according to the number of hours worked.

A day in the life:

Provide exceptional customer service while complying with privacy laws.

Assist the public with titling, registering vehicles and obtaining all types of over-the-road permits.

Administer driver law tests, conduct vision tests and produce photos for licenses.

Conduct driver license exams including behind-the-wheel skills test.

Prepare daily reports including bank deposits and maintain sensitive inventory.

Perform physical exam of vehicles and verify vehicle identification numbers.

Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Occasionally perform relief work in other DMV offices.

May require standing for extended periods of time, working in inclement weather, working an irregular schedule and lifting up to 40 pounds.

What we need:

Two (2) years of public contact/customer service experience which involved dealing with the public in-person or by phone providing information about services/programs or explaining and/or applying laws, rules, regulations/procedures;

AND

Experience or training using computers to retrieve and input data;

AND

Three (3) months experience collecting money and making change.

Note: Completion of an associate’s degree will substitute for one (1) year of the public contact experience.

Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
