What will you be doing?
On behalf of a financial services organization, develop, create, and modify general computer applications software and specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Responsible for supporting the successful delivery and governance of the Trade Surveillance project deliverables.
Work across technology and cross-functional teams to design solutions that are aligned to overall technology strategy roadmap.
Operate as a critical part of the delivery team to ensure that resilience, stability, and availability are built.
Review requirements from both Compliance and external regulators and turn the high-level ask into detailed requirements for the Equities Data Warehouse to deliver to the Smarts application.
Define solution requirements, define the project plan including delivery timelines and testing approach, and direct the team to turn the detailed requirements into code.
Responsible for obtaining approvals from stakeholders involved for a technology release to go into production.
Serve as the central contact for the regulators or Compliance or Auditors (both internal and external).
Deliver detailed evidence needed for the data warehouse.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum of a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, or a related field and at least five (5) years of experience as a Compliance IT Lead or related occupation. Must have at least five (5) years of employment experience with each of the following required skills: Building out reporting solutions required for equities quotes/orders/executions and responding to Compliance and Regulatory questions; Trade Surveillance business and technology expertise including SMARTs platform; Data warehouse development including Informatica and Business Objects (ETL and Visualization tools); Analytics, reporting, and regulatory expertise; Functional skill and domain knowledge of surveillance models including Manipulating Transactions, False and Misleading, Insider Dealing, Front Running, Spoofing, and Layering; Strong Neteeza/ PL/SQL development, database design, and SQL performance tuning; and Unix/Python Scripting language.
