Description :
Purpose of Role:

Responsible for development of direct reports and support staff; responsible for all aspects of warehouse management including inventory management and rotation of material, internal facility material flow shipping, receiving and storage; achieve cost reduction targets, effective auditing processes, and knowledge of systems.

Specifically, the position will:

Responsible for leading logistics and warehouse activities including but not limited to: Shipments/receipts, operational supply and material flow, cold storage, movement of goods and customer service.

Develop, monitor, and improve internal and external customer service metrics to optimize overall logistics and supply chain activities.

Works with Purchasing and Planning managers to establish optimal order quantities, inventory targets, and turnover objectives.

Initiates continuous improvement process, challenging inputs for accuracy and clarity.

Engages in root cause analysis for negative trends are system/process breakdowns or gaps.

Works closely with R&D, Business Development, Regulatory, Strategic Planning, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Quality, and other groups to support product launches and other business initiatives.

Works closely with BNA Inventory manager to ensure cycle counts and inventory management are completed timely and accurately.

Works with various functional participants to ensure that key issues are addressed and supports resolution of issues.

Provide leadership, management, development, and training for warehouse teams.

Establishes and directs programs for cost reduction and value analysis.

Develops and controls departmental budget and its relationship to strategic planning and profitability

Drive operational and systems improvements in materials and logistics activities

Must perform all work in accordance with all safety procedures

Principal Accountabilities

Oversee the warehouse operations team to ensure shipments and receipts are timely and accurate
Oversee the training and development of warehouse employees
Ensure that the warehouse team is following all safety rules and regulations
Minimize the loss of inventory due to poor practices on the organizations part
Work with BNA Inventory manager to ensure that inventories are accurate
Review current processes and adjust based on best practices
Assist Logistics Manager and plant management with measurement and documentation of BNA KPI’s; establish and complete as required (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
Report findings of cycle count results to plant management and BNA Inventory manager
Ensure flow of material in support of operations
Personal development and learning continuously for self-growth
