Job Description
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will monitor shipping department workflow to ensure optimum service levels and reasonable expectancies is maintained. The Shipping Supervisor ensures dock area is secure. Oversees service levels to ensure delivery trucks depart on time and as scheduled and ensures back-up delivery service if required.
Job Responsibilities
Print out orders, pick orders, scan and ship merchandise
Recheck order items, labels and shipping terms
Package and seal all orders to be picked up or shipped
Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against work orders to ensure correct quantities, destination and routing
Check emails for special instructions and or dimensions and delivery quotes
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimum space utilization
Complete diary logs into inventory
Report any discrepancies
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Job Requirements
Experience supervising 5 people or more
High school diploma or the equivalent required
Minimum of two years job-related experience required
Forklift and/or pallet jack experience is a plus
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds using proper safety methods
